Alphabet Soup // Illustrator

Here I have collected some research on different typefaces in preparation for my Adobe Illustrator brief. All of the images have been collected from Type Goodness. Below is an alphabet created through the manipulation of several clothing items to form letters, this creates the collusion between image and type.

Erik Berger created a typeface using recycled materials that he has found, therefore he collected a range of rubber bands placing them into a 'mound' and forming letter shapes like below to create a typeface which is both legible and recyclable. The outcome gained a very positive result.

Andrew Effendy's produced 'The Devil’s Rope Type', a series of wires pulled across two wooden posts. They are supposed to give the appearance of barbed wire and in the middle section the wires form letters of the alphabet, A through Z.

The typeface below has more recently become very famous and well known. Zumra Waheed came up with this fun typeface, inspired by High Heeled Shoes ehich gives a very feminine appearance targeting the type more predominantly at women.

Paul Henri Masson created the typeface below based on a fun alphabet constructed with different type of children's Legos. The bright vibrant colours are effective and imperative.
